LOS ANGELES, CA – Reinforcing Kevin de León’s widespread support among leaders throughout the state of California, San Diego City Councilmember Georgette Gomez and Councilmember Chris Ward endorsed de León in his race for the United States Senate today.
Following her endorsement, Councilmember Gomez voiced her support in a statement:
“California needs a strong representative in the United States Senate who will fight tirelessly on our behalf. As a fellow San Diegan, Kevin de León has demonstrated his devotion to protecting immigrant families, pushing for cleaner air and cleaner water, creating new jobs and bolstering our economy. That’s why he has my support in this year’s U.S. Senate race.”
Councilmember Chris Ward released the following statement endorsing Kevin de León:
