Los Angeles, CA  – Today the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters (SWRCC), representing thousands of carpenters across Los Angeles and Southern California, announced their endorsement of Kevin de León's bid to represent Los Angeles City Council District 14 in City Hall.

“As State Senate Leader and a member of the state legislature, Kevin de León proved that he’s committed to standing up for the rights of working families,”  said Dan Langford, Executive Secretary-Treasurer of SWRCC.

“As Councilmember, we know he’ll continue to fight with us for quality jobs, living wages, and good benefits, not just for our members, but for all Angelenos.”

“I am honored to have the support of SWRCC, whose hard work keeps our city moving forward,” said de León, responding to news of their endorsement. "This race is a chance for us to re-imagine our city’s economy; protecting and creating good-paying jobs that lift families up, keeping our communities strong and our environment clean. I’m looking forward to standing with the Carpenters of LA in this campaign to advocate on behalf of working Angelenos.”
