Los Angeles, CA – The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage technicians (I.A.T.S.E.) Local 80, representing motion picture grips, crafts service, marine first aid employees, and warehouse workers, today endorsed Kevin de León's candidacy for Councilmember representing Los Angeles City Council District 14.
"Kevin de León is an unwavering champion of working men and women,” said Thom Davis, Business Agent for I.A.T.S.E. Local 80. "From his 12+ years in the state legislature moving policy that supports working families to his work negotiating the Film and TV Tax Credits, he has always stood up for our members. We know there is no better advocate for the hardworking people of Council District 14 than Kevin de León."
“I am honored to have the support of I.A.T.S.E. Local 80, comprised of hundreds of working people across this great city whose daily contributions form the bedrock of our world-renowned film industry,” said de León. “I am deeply grateful for their endorsement and empowered to continue to fight for the dignity of work for those here in District 14 and across Los Angeles."
